Continuum Technician

Students learn the basics of the Continuum product, the operation of the Continuum workstation and the TAC philosophy for facility integration in this hands-on course. They will use Continuum to configure hardware and points.

The course begins with an operator level overview of a fully configured system. The course progresses through a series of lab exercises that challenge the students to identify, isolate, fix problems in the system and to follow-up with tests to confirm resolution.

The student is familiarized with many available tools such as Command Terminal Operations, the ROAM IO service tool and the oscilloscope to observe signals on the RS485 field buses.

Network and Hardware Essentials

This course is a comprehensive look at the Network and Hardware fundamentals associated with the Continuum product. It follows a logical path, studying general industry networking and electronics standards and then translating this knowledge to the specific issues associated with the installation, performance and troubleshooting of a typical Continuum site.

At the conclusion of the course the student will be able to employ multiple diagnostic tools to isolate, evaluate, and repair simulated network and hardware problems.

Operating and Administrating a Continuum Security System
